Sorry mate a few more quick tips that might give you a better experience on the n95. I am defending this phone because with the new update it is really an amazing device.
1. If you cannot update your n95, google tips on changing the Product Code to a Generic UK or Euro code.
2. If you want a similar zoom in - zoom out - overall page view web browsing experience as the Iphone, install Opera Mini 4. It is new software and is really truly amazing.
3. Google Maps on the N95 is nothing short of spectacular and I recommend you give it a go if its been a while. It uses internal gps and or cell phone towers to fix a signal.
4. I forgot to mention yet another negative of the iPhone - You can't do video calls. All new phones can do it, all my friends with New phones can do it, and here in the UK on o2 you only use your minutes when doing video calls. I guess if you have no friends with this capability then there is no use for it, but in the near future it should be standard on all devices.
Thats about it... just wanted to balance your overal negative n95 review with some positives because honestly the n95 is an incredible device.
Oh yeah, your iphone doesnt have a PowerVR 3d accelerator chip in it, or TV-out as well :P

I imagine your n95 is for sale because you are stuck on a new contract? If you somehow got your iphone unlocked for 900 euros, I would recommend updating your N95 to the new firmware and giving it a proper go. Everything experienced new updates, including the Music Player. It really would do your n95 justice if you updated the firmware. Especially with the new Ngage system coming out you might really reconsider your choice. Did you know, they also rewrote the entire code for the camera drivers and the application has experienced a refresh, it is actually very fast and you can use it no matter what applications are already running.
The GPS gets a lock in under 20 seconds now thanks to assisted GPS, which you have not experienced with 11.x software. I really urge you to give 20.xx a go before you sell. However, I know how compelling the user interface can be on Apple products.
I prefer an unlocked fully customizable operating system such as the S60, which you cannot really argue is far more capable in terms of hardware and software than the Iphone. To each his own though, i'm a bit of a geek :)
I respect your own view, however I would urge you to change the title as " My own little N95 vs iPhone view" instead of Re-view.

I noticed that most of the functions the iPhone dosen't offer (and there are lots of them), you simply reply "I don't use it". The least I can say is that your "review", is more kinda "I got an iPhone and I love it". Reviews, as I understand them, are supposed to show the goods and bads about anything. But you seem to list the few functions on the iPhone, and how much you love them. It is not fair to compare two devices showing the bad points one might have, and simply ignore the ones the other has by simply saying "I don't use it". My suggestion is: write an assay entitled "The iPhone's Good Features" and that's it. It should look more honest.

Check out the new (20.x) N95 Firmware: The "ooops, I’m out of memory" bug is fixed! Also the menu is pretty fast... Acceleration Sensor is also available at the N95, just the rotation doesn't look as "fancy" as it does in the iPhone. About GPS: After I get a fix (which works well with A-GPS) my N95 navigates me to every place I want, without any problems (Except of some out-of-date maps) ;-)

First of all: it's a review out of MY perspective. I don't really care about MMS, I don't care about A2DP, it's simply the stuff I use on a daily basis :)
MMS: yeah, there is a 3rd party app Internet Radio: it's called "iRadio", works fine over edge voip: I personally don't need it as my current free minutes are fine for my habits slot for sd: nope... on the other side: 8 GB is enough for me :) Concerning MP3s: you can really drop MP3s and use the music player? I always had to use the "refresh music library" thingy... technologically advanced: I love to ssh to my iphone to run my own ruby code, doesn't get much more advanced than this. drag and drop MP3s to my iPhone: works fine using wifi
But to be honest: the N95 is a pretty decent phone, I myself just like the iPhone better :) I never said the N95 sucks. The MP3 Player sucked imho, GPS reception sucked too... but so does the iPhone Bluetooth stack and camera.
I don't really think it's that unfair, the focus is simply more on the things that are important to me personally
p.s. I didn't have the chance to use v20.x, but to be honest: symbian is a pretty mature OS, even with v 11.x there shouldn't have been those "out of memory" errors... but apparently it got snappier which is pretty nice

I got the iPhone as an employee of T-Systems --> 299 euros for the device and a cheap contract :) The N95 definatley has a nicer internals (besides the multitouch capable glass-display of the iphone).
As for the Videocalls: I don't use it... nor do I know anyone who uses or ever used videocalls :) (not that big in germany) TVOut: the iPhone has TV Out... but as usual with apple-products: you'd have to buy the svideo cable seperately :-/
The 3D Part: yeah, the iPhone isn't as 3D capable as the N95, some games actually looked pretty decent. But I usually don't play games on my phone
Google Maps: there are apps on the iPhone that make use of the google cellphone database too, and the touchscreen helps a LOT with the usability.
In retrospective: I could change the title, but when I do that now, all the external links won't work anymore :(
p.s. thanks for the feedback

already been discussed in the comments... Where do I only mention the bad stuff about the N95? I mention the good cam (for a cellphone), I mention the good 3rd party support. I also mention that the iPhone Bluetooth stack is crap and the camera is nowhere near the N95. There is a lot of stuff that the iPhone doesn't have or can't do, but on the other hand there is a lot of stuff that I simply don't find that important. I can understand that it would be bad if I changed the facts or something, but I pretty much mention all the stuff that is important to me. What exactly did I forget to mention?I used the N95 over months and this "review" reflects what I think about it. There are a lot of "let's compare the numbers" reviews and I think everyone can look up stuff on the data sheets, but this is a review from and endusers point of view. I simply think the N95 has some room for improvement and I personally like the iPhone better. That's why the title starts with "my own". It's not as if I didn't own both of the phones and was just bashing (do you own the iPhone or just the N95?).

Dude, I read this post and I love that your review of everything N95 is "it sucks..." and thats about it.
The N95 is an amazing device if you know how to use it, especially with the 20.xx firmware that was just released. It gives Demand Paging, which is nearly unlimited Ram, better Battery life, and tons of other fixes.
Most notably, can your iPhone do voice over ip calls over 3g or wifi? Or listen to internet radio over 3g from all over the world? Does it have a slot for the upcoming 32 gig SHDC MicroSD card?
How about A2DP Stereo Bluetooth support? MMS? Multitasking?
I think that you have shown you are clearly an Apple fan in this review. It seems you are Wowed by the Apple UI and did not go into any of the features that someone who might be more technologically advanced might, or who would even be interested in taking the time to learn, be interested in. The s60 UI just caters to a different crowd. Don't tell me the N95 cannot handle Music. Some of us prefer to drag and drop mp3 files to our memory card than use a syncing software.
You can't drag and drop unlocked mp3s to the iPhone, can you?
I thought not. To each his own, but IMO an unfair comparison.

I really had problems with the internal GPS when driving. I had to put the Cellphone right behind the window (and I mean: directly over the ventilation) otherwise it would constantly lose signal.
